JOB OVERVIEW

The Payroll Coordinator is the first point of contact for any payroll related processes. He/she is responsible for maintaining employee records, inputting data into systems and reconciling payroll for accurate and efficient payroll delivery. He/she is customer-service focused as they are often the front-line for general payroll inquiries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Payroll
  • Tracks, calculates and processes all appropriate pay-related items, requests and approvals for employee population. Reviews payroll by reconciling all HR transactions against payroll registers and resolves any pay discrepancies in conjunction with finance
HRIS Data Entry
  • Ensures completed and correct paperwork are submitted before making data entry. Enters all employment transactions in appropriate systems
Administrative
  • Perform basic administrative duties involving data entry and other ad-hoc requests or tasks as required.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with other related functions to make sure data is correct and address any concerns or questions.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Payroll
  • Compiles payroll data and maintains records in Hrlink in accordance with payroll processes
  • Enters all Peoplesoft Hrlink & HRIS transactions (new hires, terminations, status changes, LOA) and reconciles work against payroll registers
  • Runs reports/queries as required for internal finance team and agency reporting
  • Prepares PARS/EPCs for delivery and entry to IPG shared services for payroll entry
  • Review and enter time reports for RapidPay in Hrlink
  • Acts as first point of contact for payroll inquiries

  • Possesses a basic understanding of payroll and related laws and procedures. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of related laws and ensures to demonstrate a commitment to compliant practices.
  • Proficient in advanced functions and formulas to perform VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphs and data capture
