We seek a dynamic and experienced Corporate Communications Specialist to join our agency who will play a pivotal role in promoting our brand, values, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, managing media relations, and enhancing FCB New York's presence in the advertising industry.

Key Responsibilities:

 FCB NY Promotion/Media Relations:

·       Develop a strategy to enhance the agency's reputation and visibility in the advertising industry.

·       Identify opportunities for awards, speaking engagements, and industry recognition.

·       Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.

·       Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.

·       Act as the agency's primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests. 

Content Creation:

·       Develop a social media strategy and communications plan.

·       Develop engaging and informative content by collaborating with creative and strategy teams to create visually appealing content showing our smarts and achievements.

·       Ensure all content aligns with FCB’s brand and messaging, partnering closely with FCB’s global communications team.

Internal Communications:

·       Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.

·       Participate in and support content initiatives the global communications team is driving, localizing topics, POVs and culture-shaping moments as much as possiblepossible. 

·       Plan and execute town hall meetings and other internal communication initiatives.

Collaborate with the global communications team to synergize local PR activity. 

Crisis Communications:

·       Assist in the development of crisis communication plans and protocols.

·       Be prepared to respond to and manage crises with oversight from the Global Communications Team, including drafting crisis statements and managing media inquiries.

Reporting and Analytics:

·       Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on FCB NY’s media presence.

·       Provide industry trends as well as the competitors' presence in the press.

·       Use data and insights to refine communication strategies and improve results year over year. 

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

·       3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role, preferably within the advertising or creative industry.

·       Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Strong proofreading and editing skills.

·       Solid media relations and crisis management experience.

·       Understanding of news cycle and how and where to break in.

·       Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.

·       Strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong organizational and project management skills.

·       Ability to think and act both tactically and strategically and inspire new

·       perspectives/approaches within the global team.

Office Requirements

  • FCB has adopted a hybrid working environment. It is required for employees to be in office Tuesday-Thursday and can work from home Monday and Friday.

Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors including but not limited to budgetary and market consideration, as well as an applicant’s background experience, pertinent/specialty experience, qualifications, and tenure in role/similar role.
