JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Strategic Planner is responsible for serving as strategic support on multiple accounts and new business. In this role, the individual will be working collaboratively with senior team members on day to day planning needs. The Senior Strategic Planner is responsible for understanding the disease/market, competition and target audience insights and partnering with senior team members to translate those insights into actionable recommendations for brand strategy. They will begin to develop relationships with account/creative teams - and begin to earn their trust and confidence. As the individual grows and develops their skill-sets in various planning disciplines, they will take on projects with more autonomy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Workshop preparation
  • Organize materials for workshop session
Brand Planning
  • Conduct insight mining and literature reviews, take part in market research, provide input into discussion guides
New Business
  • Participate in physician interviews to learn insights and to craft the story


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    •Demonstrate moderate level of understanding of pharmaceutical brand marketing and promotional strategy •Demonstrate understanding of the strategic process – and required milestones/steps •Rapidly immerse into new therapeutic areas for new business opportunities •Customer insight mining skills; recruit management, writing screeners, discussion guides, interviewing and summarizing •Understand attitudes, practices and behaviors of the target customer•Client market research attendance and topline summary preparation•Ownership of competitive monitoring and analysis, as well as identification and analysis of case analogs •Strategic support on new and existing business; supporting senior team members on brand and creative strategy development (e.g. positioning, targeting, creative brief) •Partner with senior team member to design client workshops and facilitate breakout sessions (e.g. positioning workshops, etc.)•Hones oral/written communication and presentation skills •Strong organizational skills
