THE ROLE

  • Responsible for researching, creating, and writing copy which properly reflects the strategy desired by the client
  • Generates unique and innovative material for brand; developing text from draft stage through final copy
  • Writes copy in language that is original, compelling, distinctive, and synergistic with art/graphic
  • Develops multiple concepts/campaigns for assigned products/projects in partnership with senior art director and account team
  • Able to defend strengths of existing concepts while remaining open to input and further explorations that may be deemed more effective or appropriate
  • Explores/develops/produces innovative ideas that are on strategy
  • Presents creative work and properly prepares for all client presentations
  • Works independently and with art directors to develop creative, effective advertising concepts from ideation through final product
  • Participate in strategic and tactical meeting with client and account team to develop effective advertising campaigns reflecting client objectives
  • Provides support and assistance in researching for specific projects
  • Should be "in the know" about current trends and behaviors
  • Logically organizes material from a range of different sources to make a compelling narrative/story flow
  •  Has full mastery over writing craft with a clear persuasive voice and uses skills to fulfill a variety of tactics
  • Collaborates with team in a positive and productive manner and oversees junior creatives

THE COMPULSORIES

  • 6+ years’ experience within a corporate or agency environment as a writer
  • Exceptional portfolio of work, demonstrating creative and execution expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with ability and experience to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation
  • Developed management, leadership and team building abilities
