Search Marketing Expert has 2+ years of experience in paid search advertising. They are responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing, and analyzing paid search engine marketing activities. Strong methodical skills and web analytics background are needed to ensure success of search campaigns. In addition, Paid Social Media experience is not required but a nice to have.

They manage all aspects of the SEM projects, from creating PowerPoint decks, Ad copy templates, to finalizing search budgets. They should be intimately familiar with the roles played by Development, Design, Copywriting, User Experience, Technology, and Quality Assurance. They examine search query behaviors to better understand the search engine algorithm. They have experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, analyzing website and reporting on keyword ranking. They should also be familiar with third party platforms like Moz, SEMRush, Google Trends, Keyword Planner, DoubleClick, and/or Marin.


Implement SEM campaigns for new/existing clients via Google Ads (Adwords)/Bing Ads.
Handle client billing, notify manager of any account issues, update account pacing documents, and ensure proper budget pacing.
Understand Q/A fundamentals and implement Q/A best practices in daily tasks.
Adjust and manage PPC campaigns as needed, provide monthly/quarterly/yearly reports to Account/Brand team.
Perform keyword research in coordination with client business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities.
Communicate search project status to teams and/or clients on a regular basis.
Contribute insights and search presentation for RFPs and new business initiatives.
Use and monitor third party software and ensure ranking, keyword visibility, and crawlability.
Adjust and manage PPC campaigns as needed, provide monthly/quarterly/yearly reports to Account/Brand team.


§ 2-3+ years of experience in SEM in an agency or media company.

§ BA / BS or equivalent experience.

Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare is preferred.
§ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

§ AdWords certified, and/or DoubleClick certified is a plus.

Manage day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines (Google/Bing) including campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and optimization of paid search campaigns.
Monitor and evaluate paid search results and search performance across the major search channels.
Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
