THE ROLE

The role is best fit for someone intuitive who has great social skills, is outgoing, and inspires trust. Working with the Chief Creative Officer, and Creative Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day internal creative operations. You will primarily focus on optimizing resourcing, staffing, structure/systems, talent development and culture to improve and maximize the agency’s creative product. You will act as the creative hub and manage the execution of deliverables across multiple projects. Collaboration with Account and Creative teams is critical to help define project scope, process, timeline, and budget parameters. The ideal candidate will be able to perform well under pressure and proactively provide solutions as changes arise during projects. You will serve as the right hand of the CCO in helping to manage the workload and morale of the creative department. You will learn to understand the specialties of the creatives in order to help match them with the right creative challenges.


Project Management

  • Maintain the database of all agency projects and allocate creative resources.
  • Collaborate with account managers to keep track of creative teams’ progress and help maintain adherence to timelines.

  • Run weekly and monthly resource allocation meetings.

  • Drive project schedules, timelines and resources, ensuring that both internal and external milestones are met.

  • Participate in forecasting timing and needs for incoming projects and thinking about how that impacts the account or agency from a holistic perspective.

  • Collaborate with producers on production and timing, including broadcast, film, video and digital production.

  • Partner with creative to support, shepherd and champion the work.

  • Manage workflow across creative and production departments.

Creative Services

  • Manage weekly agency status and daily sprints.
  • Hold weekly check-ins with each creative to discuss progress/bandwidth and provide an empathetic trustworthy environment for creatives to feel heard and supported.

  • Reconcile hours against projects with the Finance Director.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing of creative department while anticipating future staffing needs based on project load.

  • Keep a pulse on employee skill sets as they relate to client projects.

  • Collaborate with HR on recruitment of full-time creative positions, freelance needs and internship outreach efforts.

  • Partner with HR to on-board new employees and freelancers.

  • Evaluate and screen creative portfolios.

  • Manage team and culture building activities in the creative department.

  • Anticipate and address emotional and environmental needs for creative department.

Executive Administration

  • Manage creative leadership schedules.
  • Manage creative reviews on the CCO’s calendar.

  • Manage major awards efforts with Creative Directors.

THE COMPULSORIES

  • 2-3 years previous overall experience either in Project Management or Creative Services.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to calmly handle multiple tasks.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred.

  • Background in a creatively led environment.
