Jr. Broadcast Producer
Job purpose
The Jr. Producer works with, and alongside the production team on all aspects of a production project. The Jr. Producer will assist with executing the creative vision to make ideas come to life while assisting with the management of budgets and deadlines. The Jr. Producer is able to skillfully navigate projects across a variety of clients and genres. They work side by side Creative and Account teams, and are an integral part of the agency team. The JP is expected to work on multiple projects at a time and is responsible for managing a job from start to finish. The JP should have a solid background in Talent/Traffic, commercial approvals, talent estimation and payment. Excellent organization, creative, communication and interpersonal skills are paramount to this position.
Duties and responsibilities
- Creating workback schedules and estimates for projects
- Ensuring the creative visions for the project is being met or exceeded.
- Tracking progress on deliverables to ensure timely outputs and clear expectations re: deadlines
- Schedule and lead key touch point meetings between creative/account teams
- Check/review all outputs before they are sent out for internal or client feedback
- Creating PO’s and estimates
- Tracking job progress and actualizing complete jobs.
- Awards submissions: producing videos for award shows as needed and converting spots as per entry specs.
- Assisting Dir. Broadcast and Sr. Producers as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 -3 years agency production experience
- Experience in Broadcast & New Media production
- Broadcast/Media Production or Advertising diploma/certificate an asset
- Excellent negotiator, communicator, and relationship builder
- Familiar with the ACTRA and UDA commercial agreement
- Acquainted with broadcast trafficking process and talent payment through third party payment company
- Understanding of MAC / MS outlook
- Excellent creative judge and confident with creative input and contribution
- Strong relationship building and inter-personal skills
- Strong presentation skills

- Strong Organizational and multitasking skills
- Broadcast/Media Production or Advertising diploma/certificate an asset
- Ability to work nights and weekends
