The ideal person
- Has Windows Server experience, ie. File Services, Print Services, DHCP, etc.
- Has a broad knowledge profile when it comes to web application architecture and infrastructure, and really excels in areas such as Linux scripting, AWS Cloud, Networking, and Containerization.
- Has the ability to efficiently multi-task.
- Has experience designing and executing small to medium-scale systems automation projects with strong autonomy.
- Is comfortable with production systems and technologies, for ex. load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.
- Has experience using infrastructure management technologies such as Cloudformation, Terraform and Kubernetes- as well as scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Is familiar with and enthusiastic about software engineering best practices such as testing, automation, CI and CD.
- Has working knowledge of relational databases, ie MySQL and MS SQL
- Willing to be on call 24x7, if needed.
Experience
- 3+ years experience in similar roles
- Windows Server management (2008 and above)
- Managing medium to large Storage Area Network systems.
- Virtualization technology such as VMWare and Hyper-V
- Knowledge of AWS core features, including EC2, ELB, VPC, S3
- CI/CD Pipeline and Automation experience
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash and Python
- Microsoft Azure experience
- SQL Server experience is a plus
