POSITION SUMMARY:
At New Honor Society, the Freelance Designer is responsible for the conception, design and execution of innovative visual materials under the guidance of a Creative Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strive for high standard of design
- Partner with designers and copywriters to create digital marketing assets
- Self-motivated and willing to do what is needed to contribute to the success of the team
- Develop an understanding of our clients’ business
- Think through design and make choices based on brand tone and strategy
- Keep abreast of current design and cultural trends; maintain awareness of relevant advances in the industry and share with the team as appropriate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Direct animation/video team to bring your concepts to life
- Contribute to the ideation process
- Take constructive feedback and collaborate with others
- Be able to follow a brief from concept through execution
- Maintain accuracy of work
- Thoroughly communicate with both local and remote team members
REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years of relevant experience in graphic design or art direction
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Adobe After Effects not required but a plus - Basic knowledge of PowerPoint
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Fundamental illustration abilities.
- Meets deadlines with consistency
- Shows initiative and demonstrates ownership of work
- Basic knowledge of final file preparation and production
- Employs sound judgment when working with team, clients, vendors, etc.
