Background
• Master’s
degree or higher in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations
Research, Bio-Informatics or engineering field.
• 3+ years
of work experience in an analytics, 1+ years in a data science related role
Technical skills
• Ability
to write code in R, Python, SQL
• Ability
to create and run ETL with databases
• Familiarity
with Unix and Bash Shell scripting is preferred
• Familiarity
with Hadoop (Hive, Spark, etc.) is a plus
• Knowledge
of HTML and JavaScript is a plus
Analytical skills
• Expertise
in one of the following preferred: Data visualization, front-end development,
big data processing and data engineering, predictive modeling, NLP/NLG, AI,
network analysis, econometric modeling or geospatial analysis.
• Competency
in analytic techniques such as: time series data analysis, segmentation,
univariate & multivariate statistical analysis, various metrics and key
performance indicators, research & test design, significance testing,
variance and growth calculations, forecasting, return on investment.
• Strong
data-munging skills and understanding of how to ingest audit and organize
structured and unstructured datasets.
• Familiarity
with media & web site analysis tools and vendors, including both
quantitative tracking and research methodologies (DART, Google Analytics, Site
Catalyst, comScore, Dynamic Logic, etc.) is a plus.
