You are a copywriter. But you don’t just write copy. You craft it. You love words. You love comedic timing. You know every good ad that’s been made and you know why it’s a good ad. Because you’re smart. You know how to think outside the box. Within a box. Within a strategy. You love strategy. You love briefs. You also can put on your big kid pants, and articulate and sell big campaigns to big clients in big meetings. You’re an individual. But you don’t just have one voice. You’ve got one for every brand. And you’re a bad ass at conceptual thinking. Big ideas. Big plans. And you do things after work. Because a fuller life leads to better writing. You know this. You know lots of things. Because you’re a copywriter.

You’ve learned enough to know that good ideas are the backbone of advertising, and you strive daily to create those. You always ask the right questions, but you also know when to listen and soak it up like a sponge. A hard-working, midnight-oil-burning, long-copy-ninja-ing, tag-line-crushing sponge, that is.


  • Writes copy for assigned projects that is on strategy for the product, in language that is original, compelling, distinctive, and synergistic with art/graphic
  •  Proofreads all assignments at all phases of execution
  • Provides support and assistance in researching for specific projects
  • Has the ability to develop creative concepts that meet assignment objectives
  • Should be "in the know" about current trends and behaviors
  • Logically organizes material from a range of different sources to make a compelling narrative/story flow
  •  Has full mastery over writing craft with a clear persuasive voice and uses skills to fulfill a variety of tactics
  • Collaborates with team in a positive and productive manner

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience within a corporate or agency environment as a writer
  • Computer proficiency; knowledge of MS Word, Quark knowledge a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent decision making abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation
  • Developed management, leadership and team building abilities
