the FCB Client Finance Manager

At FCB the Client Finance Manager provides financial guidance to our Business Analysts and Account

Management teams. This person will work directly with Account Management to determine the

financial needs of our clients and then put those plans into action. This individual manages all aspects of

client financial activity including overseeing A/R and client billing, calculating and reporting revenue,

facilitating audits, and completing ad hoc reporting as necessary. The right candidate will have a takecharge

attitude and be willing to dig deep into issues and implement the best possible solutions.

The person in this role will manage all aspects of client financial activity to ensure financial integrity and

complete, accurate and timely reporting.


Month-end & Revenue Recognition

• Perform all month-end client revenue calculations for Agency reporting

• Submit necessary journal entries to resolve any revenue or balance sheet discrepancies

• Complete monthly & quarterly reporting documentation requirements for FCB Worldwide

• Produce monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and present to Senior Management


Accounts Receivable and Billing Management

• Oversee the billing, A/R, and job management completed by our Business Analysts

• Use monthly WIP & A/R meetings with Analysts to identify any major concerns or issues that

need immediate attention

• Explain any WIP & A/R issues at monthly Balance Sheet meetings with Senior Management

• Work to resolve any issues escalated to the CFM by the Business Analysts


Audit Activity

• Actively participate in and produce documentation for various audits (SOX and internal audits)

• Perform periodic audits (at least twice per year) of Business Analyst records to insure Agency

compliance with client audit needs

• Adhere to FCB, IPG, and Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures


Produce monthly and ad hoc reports as necessary, such as:

• Prepare accrual reports

• Perform specific client hour reconciliations

• Compile/Review client-specific requests

• Time sheet monitoring and follow-up

• Perform Bad Debt Reserve Calculation

• Recommend and institute effective policies and procedures


The Client Finance Manager plays a critical role in the ongoing mentoring, training, and evaluation of

direct reports.

• Ability to provide good supervisory/management direction

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and execute tasks appropriately

• Disciplined to perform all job duties in a complete, accurate, and timely manner

• Ability to identify issues, think critically, and take appropriate action

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Strong aptitude toward a PC environment, proficiency in MS Excel required, MS Access

preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3+ years Accounting or Finance experience
