Job purpose

You’re an Associate Creative Director (Art Direction) who is passionate about The Big Idea and bringing it to life. You’ve already proven yourself as an award-winning thinker and doer. You work well as a team, but have enough drive, leadership and initiative to manage your own projects. You are comfortable mentoring both writers and art directors. You understand how online media and various social channels operate and are comfortable making business decisions as the digital expert on the brand/campaign.

Your portfolio shows a breadth of experience and demonstrates innovative and integrated work – with a strong focus on social, mobile and digital.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

As an Associate Creative Director, you’ll drive creative strategy and collaborate with all agency disciplines to create and produce solutions that meet clients’ business objectives and goals. You will possess a deep understanding of content strategy, design and interactive development. You will lead the team in developing cutting edge, creative solutions for major clients.

 

  • Inspire creativity and innovative thinking
  • Build client confidence, both active and potential client base, by providing creative leadership and excellence on an ongoing basis
  • Remain constantly aware of new digital developments within the industry to better service the client and maintain current business
  • Maintain environment conducive to creativity; instill confidence in the creative team of their abilities to meet and exceed agency’s creative standard.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Lead entire brands and/or campaigns that follow an integrated model
  • Work closely with developers to QA content and ensure an error-free end product
  • Comply with all AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) regulations and requirements
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as an Art Director in an advertising agency setting
  • Proven experience creating and or leading digital and 360 campaigns
  • Strong conceptual and art direction skills
  • Proven success in a role that requires both people management, art direction and creativity
  • A demonstrated ability to develop digital campaigns, and think media agnostic
  • Maturity / insight
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Multi-tasking a must
  • Portfolio of creative work required
