Senior Production Designer

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Production Designer is responsible for the creation of final artwork and specs for brand identity assets such as; brandmarks, color palettes, type styles, secondary graphics, etc. for release to client and/or vendor. The Sr. Production Designer works closely with other branding team members in executing artwork for design presentations, guidelines, case studies and other exhibits of design work.

This person will need to execute design ideas with a proficient level of accuracy and production best practices. He or she collaboratively and proactively supports Design Directors and Designers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-faceted work environment. Must be proficient in Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Design and Technical Execution
Provide production ready files and specs for various branding assets including brandmarks, iconography, secondary graphics, color (with breakdowns in CMYK, RGB, GS, HEX and PMS), typography, layouts, data visualization charts, etc.
Project Management
Comfortably handle multiple projects for multiple teams concurrently and is self-sufficient in delivering work on time and within budget

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Functions as the BX senior representative for production design, supporting all production needs for Designers, Design Directors and Creative Directors when called upon to do so.
• Applies problem-solving skills to achieve proper technical solutions for production challenges.
• Remains up-to-date on current design software, industry trends, typography, and brand identity design.
• Builds and maintains an organized file nomenclature and archiving system for all projects.
• Owns and maintains training documentation for BX production design workflows
• Communicates regularly with in-house production resources such as the agency’s print studio and presentation services department.
• Coordinates with Senior Branding Producer to identify resourcing needs for completion of production assignments.
• Recognizes areas where innovative thinking could lead to agency progress.

EDUCATION

DEGREE/DIPLOMA
AREA OF STUDY
REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
or equivalent combination of work experience and education
