Area23 on Hudson, a promotional medical education division of Area23, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Account Executive with pharmaceutical communications or medical education experience to join the team. To be based in bustling Yonkers, NY, the Account Executive will have the opportunity to partner with top pharmaceutical clients and collaborate with seasoned professionals in the medical education industry.


This position is responsible for managing all aspects of medical communications projects from inception to completion, including but not limited to, scientific platforms, key opinion leader (KOL) identification, advisory boards, live meetings and speaker training.


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships between the client and the agency for specified accounts. Has frequent contact with client. Ascertains marketing objectives, develops strategic marketing plans and works with both client and agency creative and production departments to reach those objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administrative – schedule meetings, book conference rooms

Project management – status reports, routing projects, ensuring timelines are followed and projects are completed properly

Financial tracking – hour transfers, estimates, trackers, create and oversee budget(s)

Job duties and responsibilities include:

* Day-to-day client contact; act as a key liaison between client and agency

* Effectively execute strategies, problem-solve, and develop solid business relationships

* Suggest and implement marketing strategies after carefully reviewing, researching and analyzing client’s needs and objectives

* Present completed promotional items to client committee for approval

* Work closely with art, copy and integrated production departments ensuring smooth and timely production

* Act as account financial analyst; prepare estimates, invoices and budgets ensuring proper and timely billing

* Act as team leader/project coordinator for specified accounts; departments involved are art, copy and integrated production

* Develop workable budgets, work plans/schedules and establish deadlines

* Monitor progression of marketing campaigns from initial concept through completion

* Actively pursue and develop new business through networking, representing agency at conventions, etc.

* Prepare status reports and contact reports

* Ensure that day-to-day project tasks and milestones are met on time and on budget

* May mentor Assistant Account Executive and/or provide direction on projects

* Perform other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

* Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business or life sciences

SKILLS & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS (licenses, programs, certifications, etc.)

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills

* Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint

EXPERIENCE

* 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a medical education or healthcare communications agency.
